Disability housing - What makes a good day?

In 2024, The Achieve Foundation undertook a pilot case study which revealed rich themes around the importance of genuine relationships, meaningful activities, community connections, and consistent, trust-based support. These insights are informing the development of journal articles and a discussion paper aimed at improving service design and delivery in disability housing contexts. The project also lays the groundwork for future research partnerships, with the potential to shape how SDA providers and funding bodies approach person-centred care and inclusive community participation.

Looking ahead, the research team is now developing two peer-reviewed academic papers for publication, which will share the project's methodological innovations and empirical findings with a broader academic audience. It is anticipated that these publications will contribute to growing national and international conversations about inclusive housing design, disability rights, and the role of community participation in supporting quality of life.

We will post the reports here when they are complete.
